Coach-Client Relationship
Effective life coaches deal with the present to help a client build a better future and do not analyze the client’s past, serve as equal partners with the client in the coaching/client relationship, empower the client to identify strengths to overcome challenges and weaknesses, and challenge and hold the client accountable for the changes the client would like to make in his/her life.
Effective clients prepare for life coaching sessions by reflecting, reviewing, even making notes about their goals, accomplishments and wins during the week, take accountability for things that weren’t accomplished, and share challenges, opportunities, and what is and what is not working in the coaching relationship.
